The mission of the 公共卫生 program is to impart in students a broad understanding of the factors that shape the health of populations and equip them with evaluative tools for improving the health of the community. The 公共卫生 minor is designed to build the undergraduate’s understanding of public health principles. 学生将 be exposed to the core public health areas and skills necessary to carry out the essential public health functions of assessment, policy development, and assurance. 学生 who wish to minor in 公共卫生 may do so by working with a 公共卫生 faculty member to complete the specified course work. A minor in 公共卫生 will allow you to pursue careers in Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hospitals, and Non-Governmental Agencies (NGOs). 学生 may also pursue graduate work in Epidemiology, Environmental 健康, Toxicology, Community 健康, 健康 Education, Biostatistics, and 健康care Administration. To earn a minor in 公共卫生, you must successfully complete an 18-credit course of study.
